Romantic Epona Estate Styled Shoot Featured on Inside Weddings

“With Valentine’s Day here, engaged couples are looking for romantic inspiration to breath life into their wedding aesthetic. Lucky for them, Luxe Linen coordinated and executed a passionate styled shoot featuring “a dreamy palette of reds, mixed metallics, and lavender,” says planner Star Hansen. “The deep shades of crimson, burgundy, and scarlet mixed with muted [violet] and [gold] truly oozed romance and elegance.”

The Southern California vineyard setting proved ideal for this inspirational shoot, notes photographer Jenny Quicksall, “because there is something so romantic about being nestled in the vines.” Inspired by the picturesque backdrop, real life couple Michelle and Kylin posed affectionately amongst the lush greenery. Michelle’s look was kept simple and sweet, drawing attention to her dramatic cardinal lips.

When choosing the perfect fabrics to match the rustically amorous motif, Star decided on “a wonderfully textured linen from Luxe Linen called ‘Amethyst Aurora’ [and] completed the look with their ‘Amethyst Va Va Voom’ napkins.”  The lined linens created the perfect resting spot for the classic alabaster china and gilt vases adorned with bouquets of striking peonies, roses, dahlias, and antique hydrangeas in hues of maroon, mauve, plum, and ivory.

Accenting the natural, yet arresting, concept of the shoot, the watercolor-inspired stationery suite coordinated expertly with the eye-catching design that adorned the couple’s dessert. “The cake was designed to mirror the stationery and complement the color palette,” explains Jenny. “The brushed gold details on the bottom layer of the [confection] added a fun dimension.” To add extra charm to the cuisine, miniature tarts and French macarons were provided to accentuate the color scheme and delight the senses.

The organic elements and uncomplicated design of this dreamy shoot represents the essence of true love, just in time for Valentine’s Day. “The greenery of the vineyard and color palette plus the design of this styled shoot is a wonderful way to showcase how traditional colors can be made into a unique, inspirational pairing of romantic and elegant colors,” smiles Star.”
