BriAnne and Chris had a clear vision for their wedding: amazing food and a killer dance party. In fact, wedding planners Sara Holland and Jenny Goodman of At Your Door Events described the planning process as a putting together a food and dance festival instead of a wedding. “They love hard and live it up to the fullest in everything they do,” says Holland. First vendor booked was the San Diego band Liquid Blue and they delivered, keeping the dance floor packed until the last chord was struck. The historic Union Station was the backdrop for the Scrivner’s wedding fest so the design paid homage to the buildings Art Deco meets Mission Revival design by incorporating mixed metals, lucite, warm leather and rich wood married with luxurious linens and stunning florals. With the band as the nucleus, the surrounding area included a full sushi bar, grilled cheese and soup station, Asian take-out buffet, an epic dessert station and a fleet of food trucks (including Kogi, In-n-Out and King Kone), all surrounded by an eclectic mix of seating options.
