For the Spring/Summer 2018 issue, Ceremony featured this vibrant wedding at Franciscan Gardens. The wedding was planned by Confetti Skies, a boutique wedding planning firm founded in 2014 out of southern California. Confetti Skies focuses on styling each wedding to the couple’s personality. The Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano was the perfect venue for the wedding of Francis and Sogol. The wedding was full of vibrant colors that fit perfectly with the Spanish details of the venue.
The altar featured a wooden arch covered in greenery and vibrant florals. From the middle hung an elegant chandelier creating a traditional touch. The vibrant florals of the arch were seen across the guest tables where white linens decorated the tables. Each table was decorated with golden candles and our blush pink napkins in which a thank you card was set for each guest. At each table sat wooden chairs that matched the rest of the wooden decor of the venue. In the middle of the venue was a fountain which completed the Spanish design of the wedding.
This perfect love story began during the proposal. ‘Francis surprised Sogol with a trip to Seattle, and she was especially excited about the possibility of visiting a tulip festival while there. Francis played it off, but he surprised her by taking her to the festival and finding a private area, among the red tulips, to propose. He set up a GroPro, gave Sogol a note (with another GoPro to capture her reaction), and then asked her to marry him.’
Such a romantic proposal could only mean having a vibrant wedding at Franciscan Gardens to begin the happily ever after.
