Encore Event Design and Tic-Tock Couture Florals collaborated to create “Modern Love Affair” for our Luxe Launch Sherwood held at Sherwood Country Club. Their design was elevated with rentals from Line 204 Events. Gorgeous china from Dish Wish beautifully sat upon Streamline Pearl linen and Silver Sand Amalfi napkins. We have an exclusive interview with Leslie Kaplan of Encore Event Design conducted by Lara Burnap, editor of California Wedding Day.
Tell me what drew you to this linen?
We were looking for something that had personality, but was still neutral. I think that our company’s brand is always on the side of minimalistic, but something that has edge and a modern elegance to it and obviously that was this.
Where did your inspiration come from?
The modern use of the gold and the flatware has a nice edge to it. Really clean florals, nothing over the top that was fussy. We like a balance of feminine and girly. The flowers make it really lush.
Can you run through all the different types of flowers you have?
Eddie from Tic Tock did the taller calla lily pieces. All white everything. Orchids, hydrangeas, ranunculus, the fringe tulips which are insanely gorgeous (those are my favorite flower and they’re in season right now so that worked out) and smaller roses.
What do you have in the dessert cups?
Just white jordan almonds. It adds a fun little touch to the table design and we had so much fun doing this for Luxe Linen.
