Peony and Plum

If you are looking for inspiration for you Tuscany Inspired Wedding, you will love this Tuscany Inspired Shoot that was featured on Magnolia Rouge.

Southern California Wedding photographers, Koman Photography, created a stunning styled shoot at the enchanting private villa hidden in the rolling hills of Palos Verdes Estates and the result was breathtaking! Villa Narcissa served as the perfect backdrop for the styled shoot, which served as a workshop to demonstrate photography skills in capturing an engaged couple. The event design was coordinated by Master Plans events & Design. While the bride’s attire consisted of two gorgeous dresses from Alexandra Grecco, designer shoes from Bella Belle Shoes and a fabulous ring from Topazery Jewelry. Meanwhile, the dapper groom was dressed up in a suit form Friar Tux and both were beautified by Kohnur Premier Beauty.

Decorating the beauty of the Villa Narcissa was a stunning tablescape that created an elegant Tuscany table design. The arrangement was adorned with vintage china, flatware, and stemware from Dish Wish. Alongside were garden inspired blooms from Peony & Plum. The arrangement was full of white florals complimented by greenery and peach tones. Custom stationery designed by Jasmin Michelle Designs added to the table designs, while the Tuscany style Etienne Chairs from Etablir added to the design. The whole Tuscany look was brought together by our ivory linens.

All the design elements from this styled shoot created a Tuscany inspired wedding.

Inspired by the Hacienda Encantada resort in Los Cabos, Mexico, the designers from First Pick Planning and Peony and Plum perfectly captured tropical vibes and bright colors in a chic design for this year’s Luxe Launch party hosted by Luxe Linen. “We were very passionate and excited to incorporate bold colors and be playful with the design,” says Jen Bergmark of First Pick Planning. The “Teal Dupionique” underlay and sheer, white “Simone” linen overlay from Luxe Linen complimented each other beautifully and set the scene for the whole design. Bright, summer-toned floral arragements by Peony and Plum popped against the metallic gold accents in the decor. Exquisite china from Dish Wish Events was elegantly paired with handmade teal placecards to create lovely place settings topped off with a bold, pink Ranunculus to tie everything together. “We set the table as if it was a table in someone’s home, a real Hacienda,” says Bergmark. And they did just that, we absolutely love this design!

Inspired by bougainvillea, she wanted to add vibrant, lush florals. Another key item of her venue was the Moroccan pattern, inspired by her father’s Moroccan side. The patterns were set on the invitations, linens, and the gorgeous cake. The theme also continued on the unique patterned lighting and hanging lanterns. The warm purple lights added a romantic ambiance to the room. At the ceremony, Brian’s mom custom designed a Tree of Life quilt that was used as their chuppah cover. Deborah and Brian also invited their parents and siblings to the chuppah to read the seven blessings. The venue also included a magnificent band, delicious cocktails, and a photo booth equipped with smurf hats (because Brian’s last name Strumpf translates to smurfs in French.) It added playfulness to a magical happily ever after.

Holy! Holy! is right with this incredible table designed by Percy Sales Events and Peony & Plum for our Luxe Launch LA held at Bel-Air Bay ClubThe team pulled out all the stops, transforming us into a whole new world with rentals from Revelry Event DesignEDGE Design Decor and The Tent Merchant. Gorgeous decor from Asher Market really popped! Peacock feathers and lovely chinaware from Dish Wish sat upon our Holi Festival Jewel & Aurora Isle of Water Linen and Aurora Green Tea Napkins. The team took it further with floating cakes from Lovesome and authentic Indian music from The Replicas Music featuring Ronobir. Thank you Krista Mason Photography for these gorgeous images!

We have an exclusive interview with Percy Sales of Percy Sales Events conducted by Kristin Banta of Kristin Banta Events. See below for the full interview and photos.

This is beautiful. I’m dying to know what your inspiration behind this was. There are so many elements and mediums, tell me where it all started.

The start of this inspiration was from the Holi Festival fabric that Luxe Linen provided. When we first saw it, it spoke to us. We thought we could do a modern take or go full out Indian and Southeast Asian. We thought it wouldn’t do the fabric any justice if we didn’t go full out South Indian, and so we did that.

Clearly there is a fine Indian inspiration all around this table. However, there is a mix of culture and traditions here.

What we really wanted to was of course play up the linens, but when we talked flowers and vases we wanted to keep with that “Holy! Holi!” theme. So we wanted to keep everything chromatic, one color for the flowers, and amp it out where it could work with any kind of setting. You could change the candles and make it work for anything.

You have such a modern selection for the vessels you are using and I love the juxtaposition. It keeps it really unexpected.

It’s authentic. We wanted to push the linen. When we were designing it, you know it’s scary you have it in your head, but you don’t know how you’re going to design it. Design is a process and you have to let your soul speak to it. People don’t expect to see floating cakes on a cloud.

Let’s talk about that! We have two very different things happening here. There is a residential slant and then we have a very whimsical element. How did that animation happen?

The floating cakes came up last night. They pulled the linen that I was going to use for the back table and it just didn’t happen. As I’m sitting there, I’m thinking how I can have floating cakes. So I played around with the idea of clouds and I ran out and bought some pillow stuffing and fluffed it up and it worked. Cotton candy was the other thing I thought of, so we just wanted something for this entire design. We really wanted to celebrate the Holi festival and that’s what the flowers are saying to me, the color coming out. I know for me, Susan, and Kelly, this is our heart on the table.

It’s always a joy to be featured in industry publications. Today, we’re featured on The Junebug Weddings Blog. Junebug features the best of the best on their blog called “What Junebug Loves”. This feature was born from the desire to create a new catalog for our LUXE Collection of linens. Our featured linen of choice was MADISON from our Vineyard Series. The linen is perfect for vineyard style events, because of it’s vintage qualities.  It was an easy choice to ask Lina Wallace of A Stunning Affair and Susan Nellis of Peony and Plum to design a tabletop around this beautiful fabric.

Every photo shoot requires a perfect venue to showcase the talents of the professionals at work. Triunfo Creek Vineyards was that place. Triunfo Creek Vineyards is an approximately  60 acre Working Vineyard, Equestrian Center, Organic Farm and Private Residence, located on  a ranch  in the heart of the beautiful  Santa Monica mountains and Malibu Valleys.

Krista Mason Photography captured all of the talent that made this shoot so successful. The cover of our LUXE Collection catalog emerged from this shoot, and are now featured on Junebug Weddings.

The amount of passion and talent that went into this photo shoot made it easy for Junebug to LOVE IT!. We hope you do to.

Thank you to Lina and Susan went above and beyond anything we could have expected in showcasing fabrics from our LUXE Collection. Madison was used on the main table, Blair is featured on the cake table, and the stunning Lily fabric finished off the design theme with napkins and custom pillows.
