Embraced by beautiful Californian wilderness, this styled shoot displayed the natural perfection of Big Bear Lake South California.
Shot by Anokiart Photography, this hidden treat showcased the stunning views of Big Bear Lake and Aspen Glen Park. The modest yet chic dresses supplied by Patricia from L’ezu contrasted wonderfully with the decadent colours of the boquet, table setting and arch. With the use of brass and gold accents, gorgeous purple, peach and burgundy flowers, and a haphazard scattering of pinecones, this shoot managed to capture both a rustic elegance and a modern bohemian vibe.
To complete the simple but beautiful theme of this shoot, the cake (decorated with gold sprinkles and fresh flowers), was displayed on an antique side table supporting mismatched china.
Inspired by the rustic browns and earthy greens of the forest, event coordinator Galas by Gerry commented, “Sometimes when choosing a wedding destination the best thing is to sit back and let nature take the lead”. Their vision of a simple wedding used mostly muted colours, but added pops of bright colours and a few feminine touches to create this picturesque shoot.
As described by Galas by Gerry, this “hidden Sothern Californain gem” was perfect for the shoot, but it can also be incorporated into the Australian landscape. With the use of bright green colours, dark browns and decadent purples, and a touch of vintage flare, brides don’t have to travel across the globe to have a Californian inspired wedding.
