Luxe Launch 2015: California Coastal

Here is our first table out of our Luxe Launch Orange County held at The Colony House! Presented here is “California Coastal” created by the  dream team Events by Robin and Roger’s Gardens Floral Studio. This design features our Sumatra Russet linen and Copper Satin Lamour Napkins. Revelry Event Designers and Dish Wish provided rentals and chinaware, respectively.  Li’K Designs designed the gorgeous stationery found on the dishes. Thank you Studio EMP for these images.

We have an exclusive interview with Robin of Events by Robin conducted by Rhonda Couchigian of Rayce PR. See below for the full Q&A session and photos.

What was your inspiration?

My inspiration was to take a different spin on a beach theme. Instead of cool colors such as blues we went with warm tones such as reds, golds, and oranges to keep it different. I had inspiration from Pottery Barn tablescapes and wanted it to be warm and remind you of home. I also took inspiration from the family I have living in Newport Beach.

Tell us about your florals.

The florals are done by Roger’s Gardens. Roger’s Gardens added sea elements such as shells and coral throughout the table design. Flowers included orchids, roses, succulents with hydrangeas mixed in.

Tell us about your tabletop.

For the tabletop we have chinaware, flatware and glassware from Dish Wish. Laura was amazing in helping us styling that. We have some amazing Bronze Gold flatware. Instead of a shiny gold we went with a matte gold to give the warm gold tones. Beautiful copper satin napkins from Luxe Linen wrapped all of our silverware. All of the different aspects on the table were provided by Roger’s Garden. They include glass balls and sea urchin shells to keep with that California coastal feel.

Tell us about your seating.

For our seating, we wanted to mix and match the two different back heights. We did two sofas, originally we were going to put them on the ends but we wanted to make the back more warm and cozy. I love the sofas going with table-it’s a trend that makes it more unique.

Who is your target bride?

Someone who is going with that coastal feel. Sophisticated Newport, well educated, wants that home feel but elegant. It feels like I’m sitting at my family’s table, but it is still chic enough for a wedding or event. Again, that upscale coastal bride.

What is your favorite aspect of the table?

The shells hidden in floral arrangements with the succulents around them. Also, the glass balls and metallic pieces, and the layers of the table. When we started dressing the table, we started with the bigger containers and then brought in the flowers and then started accenting and designing with the little pieces layering on top of each other.
