The bold colors and geometric prints are typical of mid-century style and the retro furnishings and color-blocked florals are the main focal point of the tablescape. The super cool lounge area ties in the same design elements and would certainly get your guests talking.
So do you fancy adding a little bit of Mad Men style to your wedding day, we asked the team behind this shoot for the top tips:
1. Accent pieces: Consider asking friends and family if they have any home décor pieces that would compliment the theme well. A team effort is the best effort!
2. Linens: Consider purchasing the fabric you love from your local craft store to use for the tabletops. You could always re-purpose the material later (example: throw pillows, clothing, etc.). Also, you don’t have to use the same linens on each table. You could use a more cost effective style for the guest tables and use the fabric you love for your sweetheart table.
3. Florals: There are a lot of flowers used in this shoot, which helped to compliment the design. Consider using artificial flowers instead of fresh for some or all of your arrangements. That way, you can repurpose the flowers in your home.
4. Want to make a grand entrance or exit? Ask your guest list if they have any cool rides (like a vintage car or Vespa) that they wouldn’t mind letting you borrow for the night.
