We are thrilled to see this Newport Beach wedding featured on Tacari Weddings!

How did you meet?

We met through a mutual friend.  Neither of us really excited for a set-up and resisting for a few months.  Finally, we were both at the same bbq, and we started talking and hit it off.  Later, my friend asked me my thoughts, and I said, “if he calls me, I’ll go out with him”  The next day he called, and we went out a few days later.  A few months later, we were living together and traveling and working together!

The Proposal:

Happend at Social Costa Mesa.  His brother Andrew is the owner and had a hand in setting up the proposal.  We were all there on NYE, and at midnight he disappeared.  A few seconds later, I see on the monitor a video montage of everything we’ve done together.  He was down on one knee with 100 roses and asked me to marry him. 

Inspiration of wedding colors:

I love rustic and romantic.  Pelican Hill was our backdrop, which doesn’t get more romantic than that.  I told Melissa (Flowers by Cina) I wanted purples with texture and greens.  She flawlessly brought my vision to life.  She truly is talented.

Planning Process:

I hired Kelsey Connelly Events to help me coordinate the big day.  Between her, Melissa and myself we pulled off a flawless day! 

Moments:

Both Brian and myself ended up gifting each other almost the same exact gift just in different mediums.  Our wedding song was “My Best Friend” by Tim McGraw.  I put a few lyrics on some custom cufflinks for him, while he created a logo for our day and printed the lyrics and framed them!
