Stephanie, a University of Arizona grad, met Drew via Skype when she was checking in with two of her high school pals who lived in the same San Diego State dorm as her future husband. They ran into each other at social gatherings over the years but their relationship remained platonic. After graduation, Stephanie moved to the seaside town for work, and Drew invited her to dinner. They’ve been together ever since.
Long before they were engaged, they decided to get married at Saddlerock Ranch, which is why Drew also popped the question there. Wedding-industry pro Stephanie, who co-owns Premiere Party Rents with her mother, envisioned an outdoor event that blended rustic and romance.
Being in the business has its advantages when it comes to planning your own fairytale. The duo made their vision a reality by designing wine-country inspired wooden tables and seating, which are now part of Premiere’s permanent inventory as the Napa collection. Furthering the theme were wine barrels and grapevine balls strung with twinkle lights, which hung over the dance floor. The line also includes a beautiful craft beer station as the couple loves to visit breweries. One of the tap handles features the likeness of NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Drew’s favorite football player.
Flowers were found throughout the ceremony and reception design. Soft shades of blush, peach and cream mingled amid green flowers over the ceremony arbor, atop the wagon turned escort-card display, as well as adorned the sweetheart table, three-tiered cake and the invitations.
One of the celebration’s most memorable moments was when Stephanie’s mom surprised the couple—superfans of The Voice—with a performance by season 10 winner and former child star Alisan “Curly Sue” Porter.
