“The ocean was our main source of inspiration when planning this Translucent Geometric inspired shoot captured by the talented Katrina Jayne Photography and Luma House Videography. When trying to decide on a venue there was no contest, Bel–Air Bay with its stunning ocean views was a must!
For the colors, we went with blue hues to complement the ocean but decided to modernize the typical beach themed wedding by bringing in geometric shapes and different metals. We wanted to ensure that the ocean view was the area of focus so it was important that it didn’t become overpowered by the décor which is where the translucent idea came into play.
We started the day with a mock ceremony which was and intimate affair. The 16 ghost chairs from MTB Event Rentals tied in perfectly with the translucent theme. A simple modern arch was constructed from copper piping and from it hung a large piece of Plexiglas complete with stunning calligraphy by Kelly Patrice saying “My Love for you is deeper than the ocean”. A blue and white hued garland filled with thistle, dusty miller, and dahlias by xo Bloom added the final touch to the stunning set up!
After the ceremony we moved over to the most romantic sweetheart table set up on the Bel–Air Bay Club Terrace. The timing couldn’t have been better. The sunset was the perfect backdrop for our newlyweds. The one of a kind furniture and tableware provided by Pretty Vintage Rentals was modernized with amazing linens from Luxe Linen, more unique florals by xo Bloom, and stationary by Lynn and Lou Paper co. After dinner of course comes dessert and Sweet Art Bake Shop didn’t disappoint with an amazing and unique cake. Glass Geometric Shapes with a blue and gold color scheme matched the table décor perfectly!
Once the sun went down our newlyweds met for a candlelit nightcap on the patio of the Bel–Air Bay club. The set up by Pretty Vintage Rentals created a comfortable yet chic lounge area for them to wind down and snuggle up!”
